Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Swagman Okanagan on our 2024 Mazda CX-90. Now, this can be a great option if you're looking for something that's gonna be a little bit easier to remove your bikes, if you wanna transfer it between maybe a different vehicle that has an inch and a quarter shank, and if you're looking for something that's not gonna cover a lot of the back of the vehicle when it's folded up, but let's check it out. So this is gonna have a weight capacity of 45 pounds per bike, holding up the two bikes, and we won't be able to carry our really heavy E-bikes, but most bikes should fit on here. And that's really gonna also affect our tilt too. So since it does have a lighter tilt, it's not gonna tilt away as far. You have two options. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2024 Mazda CX-90- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack on the back of our 2024 Mazda CX 90. Now this will be a great premium option for you if you plan on hauling a lot of different types of bikes, so let's check it out. So this is gonna have a weight capacity up to 60 pounds per bike, holding up the two of them, so you'll even be able to accommodate your really heavy e-bikes too, but that's really not gonna affect our tilt too much. As you can see right here, when I tilt it back, most of 'em will be able to go pretty far back. So that's gonna give me the ability to open up my hit, or my hatch once I find that button and a reason why you might want to open up your hatch when you have a bike back here is whether or not you wanna get ready for your ride, grab your gear, or if you're out and about and you need to put your groceries up, or you just simply need a spot to get ready and tie your shoes and when you close this up, I can show you how to put this back into the seated position. It's pretty straightforward. more

This is a great bike rack, especially if you have your heavy e-bikes. It has a huge weight capacity, and I think it also looks pretty good. The way our bike is mounted to this bike rack is by two wheel straps and a free mount over here. This is a free mounted bike rack, so you can see how they have these hooks with this slight light padding here just to protect your bike. These mounts are lockable. more

Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack with Ramp Review - 2020 Mazda CX-5- Video
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2020 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna be checking out the Yakima OnRamp Platform Style Bike Rack. First impressions of the rack on the back of the Mazda, I think it's a decent fit, you know, it's relatively compact and which is good for a smaller SUV. You don't have a gigantic bike rack back here. And really, this is gonna be set up for e-bikes, so really heavy bikes and that's because it does have a ramp, a little tray that you can put on here and help get the bike on, or take it off. But that doesn't mean that you can't use it with regular-style bikes as well, so even if you just have a hard time or have a real heavy bike like this one here, it makes life a little bit easier which we'll get to in just a second. more

So if you're a fan of the Thule T2 Pro XTR which is their premium bike rack but you want the version that can carry around a lot of bikes, this is gonna be the one. You can take off the add-on and convert it back to a two bike platform rack or you can keep it in the four bikes configuration. Well, when you do have this many bikes though you also have more space as well as more weight that you are going to have to consider. Now the Full Tilt is going to be a hanging style bike rack able to accommodate up to five bikes and each has a individual weight capacity of 40 pounds. Now for those reasons the weight capacity unfortunately aren't heavier. E-bikes are not gonna be an option and because we are hanging from our frame, unfortunately our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option. Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now our bike rack is going to be a hanging style bike rack able to accommodate up to four bikes individual weight capacity for each of those being 40 pounds. Because of that weight capacity, unfortunately, we're not going to be carrying around our e-bikes and because our main points of contact is on our frame we're not gonna be able to do our carbon frame bikes either. But if you do have an alternative frame bike or a kids' bike and get a adapter bar you may be able to fit these onto here. Our bike rack does come with a tilt away feature but we don't wanna do that mostly because of the aggressive tilt might endanger the bikes towards the ground and you don't want to have all those bikes loaded up and have to lift all that weight. more

So the Destination E is really designed for those heavy electric bikes, but it can also work with other bikes in different shapes and sizes. Now we are going to focus on our Mazda CX-9 here just to see how well it fits with this car. I think, it's like a medium to okay fit because of our ground clearance. The ramp this comes with does come in handy with those 70-pound bikes, and we do have clearance for our hatch, but also has a little bit of extra effort to get to those features. So the Curt Premium is a hanging rack that I would recommend for people that are taking around family bikes, as well as maybe your mountain bikes because of the unique way this is designed. Now, when possible, I do recommend taking a look at the platform racks we have available for your CX-9, but I also understand that the hanging rack is preferred by someone because it takes up less space, as well as is lighter than most racks. So, here we have the four bike version. This is also available as a five bike version, which is awesome if you want to get more bikes around. With this in place, you have one and two of your normal size cradles, but notice how the arms pivot into where they're closer together. more

It is a 2-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each. It's going to hold onto our bikes using this dual wheel mount design, one hoop on either side on either tire, so there's no frame contact in the event that you wanna mix and match this with carbon frame bikes or you have an alternative frame bike with a really aggressive style, maybe just have a nice paint job that you don't want being damaged, this is a great way to get them where they need to go. One really nice feature that I like about this rack is that to tilt it down, which we can do with the bike loaded up, we just have to reach this handle right here at the front, super close and really easy to do, so even if I had another bike loaded up in the front, I could, and there's a little bit of resistance on the way down, so it's not just gonna drop on me all of a sudden. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-5- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa here on our 2018 Mazda CX-5. Now the Sherpa's going to be a platform style bike rack holding the bike by the back wheel with a strap and primarily at the front here with this wheel hook that means we're gonna have zero frame contact with our bike here. So it's gonna be good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes, but sadly not our e-bikes. It does have a 40 pound weight capacity per bike. So if you do need that little extra capacity you might consider checking out the Rocky Mounts Monorail. more

It's gonna be a hanging style bike rack capable of holding up to two bikes that are 33 pounds each. So, if you've got you and a friend or you and a family member, it's gonna be a great way to get started with your bike journeys. Now, since it is a hanging rack, we are gonna want to avoid carbon frame bikes because that will damage the frame. And if you do have a kids bike or an alternative frame bike, we're gonna want to pick up a bike adapter bar to give us a good attachment point. more

Now the GuideRail is a platform style bike rack capable of holding two bikes in these trays right here. And it's going to be a wheel-mounted style, which means we have these wheel hoops on the front and back tires holding it down and getting a pretty good hold on the bike here. Now this is gonna also mean zero frame contact. So it's gonna be good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes and with a 60 pound weight capacity, even good for some of our e-bikes. more

Now, like I said, it's going to be a platform-style bike rack and we're gonna hold the bike at this back wheel here with this strap and primarily in this cradle upfront with our wheel hook. That's gonna mean zero frame contact, meaning it's good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, even good for some of our e-bikes with that battery removed. And overall, I like the MonoRail quite a bit. I think it's really easy to use and it holds the bike really well. more

That's going to be a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by the tires, as the name suggests. We've got two wheel mounts on either side and it's gonna hold the bike pretty darn well in there. Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike rack here on our 2018 Mazda CX-5. That's gonna be a platform style rack and it's gonna hold the bike by the wheels with these wheel straps here and primarily with this clamp on the frame right here. That's gonna just cinch down really tight and hold down our bike pretty well. Because it makes frame contact we are going to want to avoid our carbon frame bikes but because of the way these cradles work they can slide up and down, rotate around 360 degrees. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hanging style bike rack here on our 2018 Mazda CX-5. Now the Curt Premium is going to be a pretty unique bike rack in the sense that these arms actually narrow down together at the end here. So if you're getting this bike rack for the family, it's gonna accommodate those kids' bikes on the end really well, and you might not need an adapter bar. So it's really great to see. One thing I will caution you against though is that if you do have an alternative frame bike with you, you will still need an adapter bar for that probably to get that right fit on your bike rack. more
